Jennifer: Nathan proposed to me in the most unique and romantic way. I had just gotten home from work and I got a call from the Y saying there was a Girl Scout troop that had arrived to work on their swimming badge and no staff person was there to help them. So, they needed me to come back to the Y and help. I walked in the lobby of the Y and was told to look out the window overlooking the pool deck. Nathan had spelled out "MARRY ME" across the Y pool deck using fun noodles. But I didn't see his message, I just saw a mess of fun noodles on the pool deck. But then I saw Nathan kneeling down on the pool deck holding a ring up in the air for me to see. I cried... and eventually said YES!
Nathan: I couldn't believe she missed the "MARRY ME" part. Thankfully it was a busy evening at the Y and people that were there to watch swimming lessons had their cameras with them and started taking shots of us and the whole proposal. So a few days after I proposed random people started coming in with pictures to give us. So now we have pictures to remember the very special night.
Jennifer: And I finally got to see what the mess of fun noodles actually said.

On September 29, 2004 Lucas John was born. |
Lucas is 6 years old and is in Kindergarten. He loves it! He is learning how to read and he is writing his own stories. His favorite things about school are riding the bus, lunch time, and recess. He loves riding his bike and exploring the outdoors. Nathan built a 4 foot dirt ramp in my mom’s backyard, so Nathan and Lucas love riding bikes together. Lucas has a mind like Nathan, he loves learning about how everything works. Nathan taught him about electrical circuits and how to change the oil in the van. Lucas also experienced the ER for the first time this past year. He accidently did a head-dive into a window sill and got 3 stiches just above his eye. He loves his battle scar.
On October 2, 2006 Allison May was born. |
Allison is 4 years old and started preschool this year. She loves school too! She especially likes show’n’tell days. It gives her a chance to show everyone her love for animals. For the letter O, she took an Octopus. For the letter S, she took her favorite rubber Snake. For the letter I, she took an Iguana. Allison absolutely loves animals. I just know someday she will wear me down and we will be a dog family. Allison’s personality is just like my Grandma Brown, she doesn’t know a stranger. She smiles and talks to everyone she meets. She loves coffee hour at church when she can really “work the room” she stops at every table and says hello to all the Grandma’s.
